The Bath Hotel offers comfortable accommodation, a varied menu and interesting wine list. 22 bedrooms in total, all en suite and with tea/coffee making facilities, clock radio alarms, colour television, direct dial telephone and hairdryers.

The hotel is situated over 3 floors and does not have a lift so should you wish to make a reservation please note that it is not suitable for anybody with difficulties in climbing stairs.

In the summer guests may enjoy the use of the outdoor heated swimming pool at our sister hotel just minutes up the road. Tennis and miniature golf are available across the road during the summer and for bowls enthusiasts the Lynton Bowling Club is always happy to welcome day visitors.

Countisbury rooms have all the facilities you would expect in a three star country hotel, many with sea view and the remainder facing the Lyn Valley or Countisbury Hill. The Superior rooms are all with sea view, some with balconies and are generally larger and better appointed than the Countisbury rooms.

A water-powered funicular railway with 2 cars joined by cable.

River water feeds the upper car, each car has a 700 Gallon tank mounted underneath, and water is discharged from the lower car until the heavier top car begins to descend.

Glen Lyn Gorge is the steepest of the two river valleys flowing into the picturesque village of Lynmouth. Part of the riverflow is used to power hydro electric turbines.

Watersmeet & Heddon Valley National Trust (3 km)
Watersmeet is in a beautiful deep-sided wooded gorge where 2 stunningly beautiful rivers meet.

Heddon Valley is renowned for its natural beauty, the river runs through a spectacular wooded valley down to the sea at Heddon's Mouth, once a smugglers cove.

Lynmouth is situated in Exmoor National Park on the A39 between Minehead and Barnstaple.

From the M5 exit junction 23, Bridgwater, following the A39 towards Minehead and through Porlock along the coast to Lynmouth, or exit junction 27 towards Tiverton, following the A361 to South Molton, the A399 to Blackmore Gate and A39 to Lynmouth.
