Trehellas House Bodmin Cornwall Washaway, Bodmin, Cornwall Trehellas House is a lovely,
family owned, Grade II listed Cornish courthouse dating back to the early 18th
century. Trehellas is a country house with real warmth and character,
tucked away in the heart of the Cornish countryside. With 12 bedrooms
- 4 in the Old House, including the stunning Courtroom Suite, and 7 in the nearby
Coach House - the hotel is popular with couples, families and business travellers
alike. All rooms are en suite and feature all common facilities. The original
courtroom, dating back to the 1700s, is now a spectacular bedroom (much-loved
by honeymooners). Each room has a hospitality tray which includes Cornish
biscuits and Cornish fudge. Restaurant
The beamed, romantic, candlelit restaurant, with its Delabole
slate flagstone floor, offers the very best of locally sourced meats, fish, fruit,
vegetables and delicious Cornish cheeses. The hotel is very proud that the
standard of its classical cooking was recognised with an AA rosette in 2008. The
restaurant was also Michelin recommended in 2008. Located in the Old House,
the restaurant is open to residents and non-residents 7-days a week, with dinner
