"The Hotel des Tuileries at Nimes is excellent, and we really enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Really good facilities, particularly for a 2 star. The proprietor was so helpful, guiding us to the correct bus stop for out of town visits and writing down how I can order the kind of coffee I like i.e large, black with milk separate and no froth!. Lovely bathroom, nice cotton bed linen, a small fridge and electrically operated screen to the balcony window ensuring a good nights sleep."

"The hotel has a real sense of 'place' - it felt like I was in Southern France, rather than a cold impersonal chain of hotels. First impressions of the hotel were decieving, after a day it felt like the building and hotel had character, and almost a family feel to it, it was certainly one of the ingredients in making for a really great stay in this interesting city. It is really conveniently located, opposite the railway station, about a 5/10 minute walk from the centre of the town, and about a 20 minute walk (well stroll!) to the Jardin de Fontaines' and excellent for nipping back for a quick shower.."
