Colin Scott was born in Sunderland but has lived and worked in Penzance since
1974. Although he exhibits widely in Europe, and his smaller oils and watercolours
are well known locally, this exhibition will be his first show of major works
in Penzance. His last one-man show in the west country was the controversial Body
and Soul exhibition at The Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro in 1990. Colin Scotts
primary concern is the human form and his work explores elements of relationships
between these forms. Often on a large scale, it is intensely coloured, very physical
and occasionally confrontational. |
